Report: WWE NXT's Move To Tuesday Nights To Be Announced

Confirmation is expected later today

WWE will reportedly be confirming that NXT will be switching to Tuesday nights later today.

Mat Men Pro Wrestling Podcast is reporting that a big press release is expected to be put out by WWE on the morning of Tuesday 30 March which confirms a new, extended deal between the company and NBCUniversal for NXT to be shown on the USA Network.

An aspect of that announcement is believed to be the confirmation that NXT will switch from Wednesdays to Tuesdays, starting from the week following WrestleMania 37 (Tuesday 13 April, 2021).

WWE's deal with the USA Network to show NXT was due to expire later this year but a new agreement has been in the works for some time.

The switch to Tuesdays for NXT has been in the works for a while and is largely down to the USA Network acquiring the rights to the National Hockey League. Wednesdays are a big night for matches in the NHL and is considered a more valuable program than NXT, so switching WWE's black-and-gold brand to Tuesday nights was an easy decision for the network.
