Report: WWE Planning To Discuss New Deals With Recent NXT Call-Ups

Some pay rises could be on the way...

Throughout 2020, multiple NXT Superstars have moved to the main roster, including Bianca Belair, Matt Riddle, Keith Lee and Angel Garza.

In the past, wrestlers have received new contracts after moving to Monday Night Raw or Friday Night SmackDown but this hasn't been the case since the coronavirus pandemic started, according to Fightful. Multiple sources in the company told Sean Ross Sapp WWE would likely discuss improved deals with the new main roster talent once things "return to normal."

Fightful Select provided an update on the situation yesterday and they noted WWE is planning to discuss new contracts with several NXT call-ups soon. No offers have been made as of yet, but the money on the table will reportedly be much lower than what was offered to other Superstars in 2019.

The company also opted to delay offering improved contracts to Superstars because they are currently working on a reduced travel schedule and with cutbacks having already been made, WWE doesn't believe there is a reason to offer new deals right now.
