WWE Officially Announce The Next NXT TakeOver
Only 2 weeks away...
Back on August 22, NXT hosted TakeOver: XXX. The show was praised by fans and featured multiple memorable matches as Karrion Kross vanquished Keith Lee to win the NXT Championship, Damian Priest captured the North American Title, and Pat McAfee impressed fans when he went one on one with Adam Cole.
Fans don't have long to wait for the next TakeOver. WWE announced last night that the black and gold brand's next major show will take place on Sunday, October 4. The date of the next TakeOver has been known for some time, courtesy of a report from PWInsider's Mike Johnson.
"Mark your calendars! The next edition of NXT TakeOver will come crashing into your home on Sunday, Oct. 4 at 7 ET/4 PT.
"The event comes on the heels of an historic NXT TakeOver XXX that saw Damian Priest win a grueling North American Title Ladder Match, Io Shirai valiantly defend her NXT Women's TItle, and Karrion Kross bring Doomsday by capturing the NXT Championship. Since then, Kross' injury opened the window for Finn Bálor to capture the NXT Title in an epic series of matches involving Adam Cole, Tommaso Ciampa and Johnny Gargano.
