Report: WWE Planning To Move Damian Priest To The Main Roster

The former North American Champion could be on Raw or SmackDown soon...

Damian Priest's time in NXT could be coming to an end.

Fightful Select recently reported that WWE was planning to move Damian Priest to the main roster as of earlier this week.

Fightful's report followed a tweet from WrestleVotes in which they noted an NXT Superstar was scheduled to debut in the main event segment on last week's Friday Night SmackDown. The debut was obviously scrapped, though, as no one from NXT debuted on January 1.

WrestleVotes wrote: "Just heard an interesting story... NXT talent was slated to be called up to SmackDown last week, as of showtime, was written into the main event segment w/ Reigns, Uso & KO. Said talent is on tonight's big NXT card so curious to see if it was pushed a week or scrapped altogether."

Fightful noted they did not know if Priest was scheduled to debut on last week's SmackDown.

After signing with WWE in October 2018, Priest debuted in NXT soon after under his old Punishment Martinez moniker. He was renamed Damian Priest in June 2019 and has since faced the likes of Finn Balor, Keith Lee and Johnny Gargano in high profile matches. The Archer Of Infamy is also a former NXT North American Champion.
