Report: WWE Planning To Try And Sign Many AEW Stars

WWE want a number of AEW talents

A number of All Elite Wrestling stars will be on the move at the end of 2023 if WWE have their way.

Dave Meltzer has reported on Wrestling Observer Radio that many AEW contracts expire at the end of the year and WWE will be trying to sign "many" of those talents.

"There are AEW contracts that are coming due at the end of the year. Several of them. Many of them, and WWE obviously will be pursuing all of them, or all the ones that are key ones that they could get," Meltzer said.

Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks' deals with All Elite Wrestling are reportedly expiring at the end of the year and AEW are believed to be in talks with The Elite about re-signing with the promotion. MJF, meanwhile, has repeatedly said that his contract expires at the start of next year to kick off The Great Bidding War of 2024.

Fans shouldn't expect any AEW talents to jump ship to WWE in the immediate future, though, as a hiring freeze is reportedly in place within Vince McMahon's company and has been since the start of the year.
