Report: WWE Crediting Tiffany Stratton For Improved NXT Ratings

Tiffany Stratton boosts WWE NXT ratings

The special Spring Breakin' edition of WWE NXT on April 25 drew some of the show's best ratings for 2023.

NXT averaged 647,000 viewers on the USA Network and finished with a 0.18 rating in the key 18-49 demographic. Total viewers were up 14.5 percent from last week to draw the second-highest viewership of 2023 for the developmental brand, while the 18-49 demo was up 28.6 percent to record the highest rating in the demographic since September 21, 2021.

The improvement in the 18-49 demo came from a 62.5% increase among men. On the other hand, viewership from females in the 18-49 demo declined by 16.7 percent.

According to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, WWE are crediting Tiffany Stratton and her presence on NXT commercials during the April 24 edition of Monday Night Raw as the reason for the ratings boost.

"That Spring Breakin' thing worked. I know people in the company that believe that the Tiffany Stratton commercials on Raw were very big. Especially because the male viewers were up I believe 55% from the week before, while women viewers were down. So big, big gains with men but not with women. Even though the competition (on Tuesday night) would lead you to believe it would be otherwise because obviously the NHL and NBA, they had big games, lots of competition, those draw predominantly male audiences," Meltzer said.

A dip in viewers of FOX News may have also led to a boost in NXT ratings.

Tiffany Stratton has established herself as one of the top female talents on NXT since making her debut in November 2021. She was involved in the NXT Women's Championship match on Tuesday as she clashed with Indi Hartwell and Roxanne Perez in a Triple Threat. Hartwell retained her championship despite a legitimate ankle injury.
