Following the Money In The Bank ladder match victories of Tiffany Stratton and Penta, some talk emerged that WWE’s original plans for the PLE included two different winners in the form of Roxanne Perez and Bron Breakker. It was stated at the time that it was unknown when or why WWE had made these changes. Some contrary reports on the women’s Money In The Bank ladder match have now emerged.
A report from Fightful Select has revealed there were no changes in plans in the weeks leading up to the show, suggesting that the winners were selected well in advance. When it comes to WWE’s decision to hand Stratton her second Money In The Bank briefcase victory, it is stated in the report that WWE’s long-term plan has been for Stratton to challenge her friend Chelsea Green for the WWE Women’s Championship, beating her for the prize.
Fightful Select revealed that one plan did change, and that was in the form of a six-woman tag team match on Friday Night SmackDown where Tiffany Stratton teamed with Jacy Jayne and Lash Legend to take on Sol Ruca, Roxanne Perez and Lola Vice. The winners of that match reportedly flipped at the last minute, being altered on the day.
