AEW Owen Hart Cup Tournament To Begin At Double Or Nothing

The 2023 tournament will take place in Canada

The second annual Owen Hart Cup tournament is set to begin at AEW's Double or Nothing pay-per-view, Tony Khan has revealed

Khan made the announcement on last night's episode of Dynamite, noting that the 'opening ceremonies' would take place at the pay-per-view on May 28.

Meanwhile, the tournament itself will take place in Canada, with matches scheduled for the joint AEW/New Japan Pro-Wrestling Forbidden Door event in Toronto on June 25. Fittingly, the finals will take place at The Saddledome in Owen's hometown of Calgary on July 15.

Khan announced back in November that the tournament would return in 2023. AEW currently sell Owen Hart merchandise through their shop website and he is set to be included in the upcoming AEW video game in some capacity.

The inaugural Owen Hart Cup tournament took place in the spring of last year and included one for the men and one for the women. Held in conjunction with Owen's widow Dr. Martha Hart and the Owen Hart Foundation, they were won by Adam Cole and Britt Baker.
