Steve Austin Thinks LA Knight Will Reach A 'Higher Level' In WWE

LA Knight has Stone Cold's endorsement

WWE Hall of Famer Steve Austin believes there are bigger things in the future of current SmackDown star LA Knight.

Speaking with Bleacher Report, Stone Cold noted that the former Eli Drake had gotten in touch with him a while ago. Austin had high praise and some key advice for the 40-year-old, saying:

"I got a text message from him a while back, and I'm so bad about returning calls. My wife gets on me about it all the time, I've got a lot of heat. But I did talk to him before that one text and I told him, 'Hey man, just make sure your cardio is supreme and go do you'. That guy can talk a blue streak, he's a great worker, he's got a good look, he's got a great energy. I think he's doing great. He can ascend to a higher level, and I think he will".

It was reported that Steve Austin versus LA Knight had been pitched for WrestleMania 39. However, neither Knight nor the Texas Rattlesnake appeared across the two-night event.
