Report: Stone Cold Steve Austin Vs. LA Knight Pitched For WWE WrestleMania 39

An LA Knight and Stone Cold Steve Austin showdown has reportedly been pitched for WrestleMania 39

WWE WrestleMania 38 produced a moment fans thought they’d never see when the iconic Stone Cold Steve Austin returned to in-ring competition for the first time in nearly 20 years, with victory over Kevin Owens at the Show of Shows.

Austin showed that he could still go in the ring, and no sooner had the curtain dropped on Mania 38 that rumours started swirling, speculating on how Stone Cold could be involved with WrestleMania 39 in April 2023.

A new report from Fightful Select suggests that there is a possibility that Austin could once again wrestle at Mania, with pitches allegedly having been made regarding an Austin vs. LA Knight match somewhere across Mania weekend.

Despite WrestleMania 39 being a little over two weeks away, it must be noted that nothing has been confirmed as to Steve Austin’s role at Mania, with Fightful’s report adding that no one close to ‘The Rattlesnake’ or WWE have been able to confirm if a match with Knight is going ahead.

Multiple pitches have allegedly been made to a ‘very in-shape’ Austin for non-marquee matches at the ‘Showcase of the Immortals’.
