Report: Update On Potential Return Date For Bray Wyatt

Bray Wyatt has been conspicuous by his absence from WWE as of late, with rumour mills going into overdrive after the former WWE Champion missed a live event at New York’s Madison Square Garden, suggesting the ‘Eater of Worlds’ had walked out of the company due to creative differences.

Reports later stated that Wyatt missed the show due to a ‘physical issue’, although it was not confirmed what kind of issues Wyatt has been sidelined with.

A further report from Fightful Select suggests that WWE creative were told that Wyatt is currently dealing with an undisclosed illness, with creative having been informed of Wyatt’s status ‘in recent weeks’. However, whilst Wyatt’s illness isn’t believed to be keeping him away from a WWE ring for any significant amount of time, there is no timetable on his return as of yet.

Dave Meltzer noted on Wrestling Observer Radio that Bray Wyatt vs. Bobby Lashley is still on for WrestleMania 39 and the former Fiend should be back on WWE TV "very soon." 

"From what I understand, the match is still on for WrestleMania and he should be back very soon. That's pretty much all I can say. There is something to it but I'm not at liberty to discuss it. It's not as far as I know, everything I've been told, it's not a creative issue or anything like that," Meltzer said.

Wyatt has been feuding with Bobby Lashley on WWE TV in recent weeks following Lashley's win over Brock Lesnar by DQ at Elimination Chamber.
