Ahead of All Elite Wrestling’s debut in Winnipeg on March 15, AEW TBS Champion Jade Cargill threw out an open challenge to wrestle a Canadian star on Dynamite, with the rumour mills quickly suggesting that Taya Valkyrie could be set to face Cargill, with Valkyrie having recently departed IMPACT Wrestling.

When asked by WrestleZone if there was any substance to the rumours, Valkyrie was blunt, saying:

“I will be in Los Angeles, California. I will be here in my house with my dogs. John [Morrison] will be back from Australia, so yeah, I’ll be here,” said Valkyrie.

A report from F4W Online suggests that Valkyrie was also meant to be on tour in Australia but was pulled due to a ‘late schedule conflict’, and reports suggest that a move to AEW or a WWE return are seemingly likely for the former IMPACT Knockouts World Champion.

Valkyrie also plies her trade with AAA and MLW, and if a move to AEW were to materialise it likely wouldn’t affect Valkyrie’s standing in AAA due to the working relationship between the two companies. But for the meantime, it looks like we’ll have to wait and see if ‘La Wera Loca’ answers Jade Cargill’s challenge on March 15.
