Report: WWE Reached Out To "Numerous" AEW Dark & NJPW Strong Talents

Could we see more talent recruited from under AEW's nose...

Throughout the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, AEW Dark has featured numerous wrestlers from the independent wrestling scene including KTB, Top Flight and Danny Limelight.

NJPW has adopted a similar approach for its Strong show based out of the United States and the likes of Blake Christian, DKC and Fred Rosser have all been used along with many others.

Several wrestlers on the shows have ended up being signed. Will Hobbs, Serpentico, Anthony Bowens and Max Caster have joined All Elite Wrestling in the past few months, while Ben Carter ultimately signed with WWE after NXT UK made a "major play" to bring him in.

The Prodigy Of Pro Wrestling isn't the only wrestler from AEW Dark and NJPW Strong that WWE has looked to bring in. According to Fightful Select, WWE reached out to "numerous" wrestlers who have been on both shows.

PWInsider also noted WWE did try and sign Anthony Bowens before he opted to join AEW.

If WWE will be able to land any more talent from under AEW and New Japan's noses remains to be seen.
