New Japan Pro-Wrestling recently announced that IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Champion Yoshinobu Kanemaru has suffered a right knee injury.

He was scheduled to team with Minoru Suzuki & El Desperado against BUSHI, Shingo Takagi & Hiromu Takahashi at the November 5 Road To Power Struggle show. That match will now be BUSHI & Shingo Takagi vs. El Desperado & Minoru Suzuki. The Time Bomb and Dick Togo have been added to the main event clash between Tetsuya Naito & SANADA and Yujiro Takahashi & EVIL.

NJPW wrote: "Yoshinobu Kanemaru has sustained an injury to his right knee, and will be unable to compete on November 5's event in Kochi. Changes have been made to the card accordingly.

"We apologise to fans who were looking forward to seeing Kanemaru wrestle. We appreciate your understanding and wish Kanemaru the best in his recovery."

How long Kanemaru will be out of action for is currently unknown, but he has a busy November on the horizon as part of Best Of The Super Juniors 27. The Heel Master is one of 10 junior heavyweights in the tournament which begins on November 15 and he will be hoping to come out on top against the likes of Master Wato, Hiromu Takahashi, BUSHI and his Suzuki-gun partner El Desperado.
