Report: WWE Release Mike Rotunda And Sarah Stock

As part of the latest round of cutbacks...

WWE initiated another round of financial cutbacks yesterday, following on from April 15. Mike Johnson of PWInsider reported the cutbacks included office staff who were furloughed back in April but had not returned to work. Cutbacks were made across all departments at Titan Towers, but the live events and travel divisions were hit particularly hard as WWE is currently unable to tour across the United States because of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

Johnson later revealed backstage producers Mike Rotunda and Sarah Stock had also been released. Both were furloughed back in April.

Rotunda's release brings to an end a 14-year run with the company. The father of Bray Wyatt and Bo Dallas, Rotunda is most famous for his time as Irwin R. Schyster (IRS) in WWE. He formed a tag team with Ted DiBiase as Money Inc. and they captured the WWE Tag Team Championship on three occasions. Rotunda also enjoyed stints in WCW, AJPW and NJPW before retiring in 2004. WWE hired him as a road agent in 2006.

Stock had been with WWE since September 2015 after initially working at the Performance Center as a guest coach. She transitioned to a full-time producer role on the main roster soon after. Before her run in the company, Stock competed in AAA and CMLL as Dark Angel. She also wrestled in TNA as Sarita and teamed with Taylor Wilde and Rosita during her time with the promotion.
