Troy 'Two Dimes' Donovan is gone from WWE
Jun 13, 2022
A WWE NXT talent has been released.
According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter and Fightful's Sean Ross Sapp, Troy 'Two Dimes' Donovan has been let go by WWE.
Meltzer reported that Two Dimes was let go because of a policy issue and he may be re-signed next year.
"Troy 'Two Dimes' Donovan of the D'Angelo family was let go yesterday [June 11]. This wasn't a budget or creative decision, but a policy issue and he was told he may be brought back in a year," Meltzer wrote.
WWE announced in March of 2022 that Donovon had signed with the company. One month later, he debuted on NXT and soon aligned with Tony D'Angelo and Channing 'Stacks' Lorenzo. Two Dimes' most high-profile match in the company came at NXT In Your House on June 4 when the D'Angelo Family defeated Legado Del Fantasma which resulted in Santos Escobar, Cruz Del Toro, and Joaquin Wilde having to join the group.
Prior to signing with WWE, Donovan performed on the independent wrestling scene for the likes of IWC, IWA Mid-South, and NEW. He also performed for All Elite Wrestling on several occasions, including once on Dynamite in April of 2021 when he lost a squash match to Anthony Ogogo.
