Tony D'Angelo Suffers Possible Injury At NXT House Show

His match with Cameron Grimes was stopped

Tony D'Angelo suffered an apparent injury during an NXT house show on Saturday night in Largo, FL.

D'Angelo was wrestling Cameron Grimes when the match was stopped early, due to D'Angelo suffering an injury to either his arm or his shoulder. The extent of the injury isn't known.

The 27-year-old D'Angelo began wrestling in October 2021 for NXT. In his first match, he defeated Malik Blade in about five minutes.

D'Angelo has been a part of several higher-profile matches on NXT 2.0, including being on the winning team of a WarGames match in December, and losing to Pete Dunne in a weapons-filled cage match in February.

At NXT In Your House on June 4, D'Angelo teamed with associates Channing "Stacks" Lorenzo and Troy "Two Dimes" Donovan to defeat all three members of Legado del Fantasma.

The event was part of NXT's first weekend of house shows since suspending them in March of 2020, due to the pandemic. The first house show back took place Friday night in Tampa, though D'Angelo did not wrestle on that card.
