Penta has landed in WWE, with his debut win over Chad Gable on the January 13 edition of Raw a triumph for the former AEW star.

Reaction to Penta’s debut has been positive, with Penta merch already doing good numbers for WWE. A report from Fightful Select suggests Penta has been signed with the company ‘for weeks’ after his AEW deal expired on December 1, 2024.

As for his debut, original plans called for Penta to team with Rey… Mysterio in tag team action against The New Day, but for whatever reason this did not come to fruition. With Penta’s eventual debut against Gable, the segment was said to have gone over time, with Penta’s post-match promo in particular having gone long. Whilst some reports suggested there was an element of heat on Penta for this, those Fightful spoke to said they hadn’t heard of any heat, and that those in the locker room understood what the moment meant to him and his family and were happy for him.

Whether Penta is joined by brother Rey Fenix any time soon remains to be seen, although AEW did pull Fenix merchandise from its online store in the wake of Penta’s Raw debut.
