Rey Fenix merchandise has been pulled from ShopAEW, fuelling speculation about Fenix’s status in the company.

Fenix is still listed on AEW roster page on both the official website and Shop AEW, but clicking his name on the latter brings up an ‘error 404 page not found’ screen. This, of course, comes just days after Fenix’s brother Penta made a triumphant debut on WWE Raw with a win over Chad Gable, with Penta merchandise already selling well for WWE.

Whilst Penta’s AEW deal expired in 2024 allowing him to make the jump to WWE, Fenix is set to remain ‘All Elite’ for a little while longer, with the company believed to have exercised ‘injury time’ on Fenix’s contract due to time missed on the sidelines. Fenix himself has been vocal about his displeasure at remaining under contract with AEW, having not been used since Summer 2024 when reports surfaced about the Lucha Brothers wanting out to head to WWE and even allegedly having talks with the company.

The reasoning for Fenix’s merch being pulled has not been revealed. It could be interpreted as evidence that AEW may be willing to cut his deal short so he can head to WWE, whilst it could also be seen as AEW wanting Fenix’s name to quieten before his inevitable exit from the company.

For what it’s worth, merchandise for long-absent AEW talent Ricky Starks is still available on the site.
