Further Details On Issues Between AEW & Rey Fenix
Latest on AEW and Rey Fenix

Relations between All Elite Wrestling and Rey Fenix have become bitter in recent days, with Fenix taking to X (FKA Twitter) to allege mistreatment, writing: "I needed a doctor and you ignored me for months."
Fenix also endorsed a report which claimed that AEW adding injury time to his deal wasn't due to AEW finding out about the Lucha Bros being in talks with WWE. It was claimed the real reason will instead be revealed and it is a "huge injustice."
In an update on the situation, AEW told Fightful Select they weren't going to comment on the matter. Fightful noted there was surprise within the promotion about Fenix's tweets but one source admitted the two sides had long suffered from communication issues, although they hadn't heard of anything that could be seen as "inhumane." The same source stated that Fenix was previously annoyed by a doctor who wouldn't clear him to compete, but full details about the situation were not revealed.
Another source within AEW said Fenix's claims were untrue and they thought the report of AEW "not being upset by the fake WWE news" was simply someone trying to "babyface themselves." It was reiterated that AEW did find out about the Lucha Bros allegedly holding talks with WWE when they were still under contract with All Elite Wrestling and the promotion was upset about it.
While Fenix is under contract with AEW until well into 2025, Penta El Zero Miedo is a free agent and is reportedly in "heavy demand". People within AEW recently claimed that Tony Khan may consider granting Rey Fenix an early release but there has been no update since then and it has been indicated that any outcome sets an unfortunate precedent.
