Change made to World Heavyweight Title match at WWE Saturday Night's Main Event
Dec 10, 2024
The World Heavyweight Title match at WWE Saturday Night's Main Event won't be a singles match.
The opening segment of Monday's edition of Raw saw Finn Balor and Judgment Day try and attack World Heavyweight Champion Gunther, with Damian Priest making the save for the former WALTER. It initially looked like Priest and Gunther would work together to take down Balor but they ultimately began attacking each other which allowed Finn to take them both out and stand tall following a Coup de Grace to Priest.
Following the segment, Raw General Manager Adam Pearce added Damian Priest to the World Heavyweight Title match at Saturday Night's Main Event. The match will now be Gunther vs. Damian Priest vs. Finn Balor.
Drew McIntyre vs. Sami Zayn was also added to the NBC special. The match was made official one week after McIntyre made his return and laid out Zayn following the main event of Raw. Zayn challenged McIntyre to the match on Monday's Raw, with 'Irn Dru' once again taking him out with a Claymore.
Tickets are still available for WWE Saturday Night's Main Event. The card for the show from the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum on December 14 is as follows:
