Penta El Zero Miedo has officially departed All Elite Wrestling, ending a five year run in the promotion.

The departure of the former AEW World Tag team Champion will come as a surprise to no-one, with Penta’s exit expected for several months. Indeed, the Lucha Brother’s AEW deal expired last week, and now AEW have officially removed Penta from their men’s roster page.

It’s expected that Penta will go to WWE, with WWE long-time admirers of both him and brother Rey Fenix. However WWE will have to wait to sign Fenix with the former AEW International Champion under contract with AEW until mid-2025 at the earliest.

The Lucha Brothers - and former Death Triangle associate PAC - were set to win the AEW World Trios Championships at All In Wembley in August but plans were changed when the Lucha Bros allegedly informed AEW of their decision to leave at the expiration of their deals. Reports in the Summer suggested Penta and Fenix weren’t ‘wanting to do business the usual way’ on their way out of the company.

Penta last worked for AEW in July 2024, teaming with Fenix to defeat Private Party on an episode of Rampage.
