The Lucha Bros of Rey Fenix and Penta El Zero Miedo are expected to leave All Elite Wrestling and join WWE when their contracts with the promotion expire later this year, according to Ibou of WrestlePurists.

"The Lucha Brothers are expected to go to WWE...The Lucha Brothers were originally going to be wrestling at Wembley Stadium with PAC. At one point they were pegged to wrestle The Patriarchy for the trios championships. This match is not happening, the trios championship match is The Patriarchy, the Bang Bang Gang, and the House of Black. It is unknown at this point if the Death Triangle will be wrestling at Wembley at all, I don't know that. But when the match got cancelled I asked around internally and multiple people within AEW, multiple sources within AEW towards me made it clear to me that the Lucha Brothers are expected to depart AEW at the end of their contract. Some of them speculated WWE was the destination, others outright said it was a formality," Ibou said.

Bryan Alvarez of the Wrestling Observer also reported the belief within AEW is that Rey Fenix and Penta will be leaving for WWE when their deals come to an end. Rey Fenix and Penta's contracts expire in 2024 and it emerged in recent months that WWE would be interested in both talents when they become free agents.

The Lucha Bros are AEW originals and have been with the company since 2019. They are former AEW World Tag Team Champions and one-time AEW World Trios Champions with PAC as Death Triangle. Rey Fenix also held the AEW International Championship in 2023.
