Rey Fenix Expected To Receive Interest From WWE As AEW Contract Ticks Down

Rey Fenix's AEW deal expiring

Rey Fenix's contract with All Elite Wrestling expires in 2024, according to a report from Fightful Select. When exactly Fenix's deal comes to an end is unknown beyond that it is sometime this year.

All Elite Wrestling want to re-sign Fenix and they have made offers to the former AEW World Tag Team Champion. There is no word on if the talks between Fenix and AEW have been positive, however. Should Fenix become a free agent, he is expected to receive interest from WWE.

Fenix's brother and tag team partner Penta El Zero Miedo's deal with AEW also expires in 2024 and he has also held talks with AEW over a new contract. Penta is open to joining WWE, however, and the belief is Penta will sign for whichever company makes him the best offer as the 39-year-old believes his next contract will be the last major deal of his career.

The Lucha Bros have been a part of AEW since the promotion was founded in 2019. In addition to their tag team title reign, they are also former AEW World Trios Champions with PAC as Death Triangle and Rey Fenix is also a former AEW International Champion.
