Update On Penta El Zero Miedo Potentially Leaving AEW For WWE
More on Penta El Zero M potentially leaving AEW for WWE
Jun 28, 2024
Penta El Zero Miedo's All Elite Wrestling contract is reportedly nearing its expiration, with the Death Triangle star’s deal believed to be expiring in August or September.
Penta himself has admitted that he wouldn’t rule out a move to WWE should his deal expire, and a report from Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter has shed more light on his situation.
The report states that it has been said for months that Penta is open to leaving AEW, and also open to the idea of joining WWE. Penta hasn’t spoken to WWE - he can’t legally enter any discussions with outside companies over a permanent deal due to his deal with AEW - but again is open to hearing from them when legally allowed to.
AEW CEO Tony Khan is confident he can retain Penta’s services, with Meltzer stating that he believes the former AEW World Tag Team Champion will go wherever he gets the best offer, with the 39-year-old star believing that his next deal will be the last major deal of his career.
A former mainstay of Lucha Libre AAA, Penta is set to team alongside brother Rey Fenix and CMLL’s Mistico against Los Ingobernables de Japon at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door 2024.
