Penta El Zero Miedo's AEW Contract Expiring Soon

WWE are reportedly keeping tabs on Penta's contract situation.

Could AEW star Penta El Zero Miedo be about to exit Tony Khan's promotion?

Lucha Libre Online exclusively revealed on X that the former AEW World Tag Team Champion's contract is about to expire soon.

The (translated) tweet reads:

"Pentagon Jr.'s contract with AEW is set to expire between August and September 2024. He is set to become a free agent. There is interest from WWE in his services. This free agency will be extremely interesting"

The 39-year-old masked man has been with AEW since the company's 2019 inception. As well as the AEW World Tag Team Championship, he has also held the AEW World Trios Championships (with Death Triangle stablemates Rey Fenix and PAC).

Penta's last televised outing was a loss to Konosuke Takeshita in an AEW TNT Title Forbidden Door qualifying match on the May 31 edition of Rampage. He is scheduled to take on The Butcher on tonight's episode of the show.

Penta's brother and tag partner Fenix, meanwhile, is set to challenge AEW International Champion Will Ospreay on next week's Dynamite.

Should Penta make the move from AEW to WWE, perhaps he could remind Gunther of the worst chop The Ring General ever received.
