Will Ospreay To Defend International Title On June 12 AEW Dynamite

AEW International Champion Will Ospreay to defend title on Dynamite

Will Ospreay may have his sights set on Swerve Strickland’s AEW World Championship at Forbidden Door on June 30, but the ‘Aerial Assassin’ has a potential roadblock in his path with the AEW International Champion set to put his gold on the line on the June 12 edition of Dynamite.

Ospreay has successfully defended his title on one occasion since defeating Roderick Strong for the belt at Double or Nothing in May, and the ‘Commonwealth Kingpin’ will face a stern test next week when he puts the gold up against former champion Rey Fenix.

Fenix overcame Jay Lethal, Kyle O’Reilly, and Orange Cassidy on the June 5 Dynamite to earn a shot at the title, with Fenix having previously reigned as champion for a quick 20 day reign in 2023.

Since joining AEW full-time in early 2024, Ospreay is undefeated in singles competition, with his only loss coming in tag action when he teamed with Orange Cassidy in a loss against Trent Beretta and Roderick Strong on May 22.

The June 12 edition of AEW Dynamite will also feature Private Party guesting on Chris Jericho’s TV Time segment. Will they sit under the ‘Learning Tree’?
