Report: Lucha Bros Not Wanting To Do Business On The Way Out Of AEW

Lucha Bros' divorce from AEW could become messy

The Lucha Bros' exit from All Elite Wrestling could be set to become a messy affair.

Reports in recent days have noted the expectation is Penta El Zero Miedo and Rey Fenix will be leaving AEW for WWE when their contracts expire and the Lucha Bros have even claimed to people close to them that they have already held talks with WWE and a preliminary offer is on the table with similar terms to AEW.

It was then noted that Penta El Zero Miedo may be in Orlando this week, although Penta has fired back at those reports, tweeting: "Please stop posting fake news !! My present is AEW !!"

Fightful Select has since reported, however, that "multiple sources in AEW today believe Penta pushing back on the reports so his brother will be able to leave AEW without contractual hurdles." Fightful also noted that Penta was the talent telling those close to him that he was already in talks with WWE and that he would be in Orlando this week. Several within AEW "suspected something like this had happened" but they were still shocked to actually see it be published.

Penta has also claimed to friends that his deal has already expired but several within AEW are claiming that if his contract hasn't run out, AEW could add on injury time to both Penta's deal and Rey Fenix's contract. It was also claimed within All Elite Wrestling that "the Lucha Bros. didn't want to do business in the appropriate ways that many exits from the company, and other companies in general, have done in the past."

Rey Fenix's contract is believed to expire around September, although Penta's deal will be the first to expire.
