WWE are said to be very happy with Penta's early merch sales, following his debut with the company on last night's Raw.
The luchador made his first on-screen appearance after several cryptic vignettes, defeating Chad Gable to kick off his WWE run.
PWInsider reports that the promotion are happy overall with his start, particularly in the realm of merchandise sales. WWE released a Penta mask, a hoodie, and multiple t-shirts in the hours leading up to his Raw debut in San Jose, California.
While WWE management are happy with his debut, there has been some unhappiness amongst WWE talents as Penta's match and interview ran long which resulted in time being cut from segments later on Raw. Despite not having a definitive show length on Netflix, WWE are still internally scheduling a run-time for each episode of Raw.
Penta joins WWE following an acrimonious split from AEW. His last match in Tony Khan's promotion occurred on a July 2024 edition of Rampage, where he and brother Rey Fenix defeated Private Party.
Rey Fenix remains under contract to AEW after the promotion added injury time to his contract. This occurred after AEW were upset upon discovering the Lucha Bros had held talks with WWE while still signed to AEW.
