Report: WWE's Carmella Dealing With An Injury

Carmella is reportedly working through an injury on Monday Night Raw. 

The former SmackDown Women's Champion was in action on the January 3 edition of Raw, defending the Women's Tag Team Title with Zelina Vega against former champions Rhea Ripley and Nikki A.S.H. Carmella never tagged into the match, though, and Vega ultimately picked up the win for the champions on her own in a short, two-minute match. Carmella's recent appearances have also been limited and she didn't perform inside the squared circle for several weeks prior to Monday's match, last wrestling in late November.

According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider, this is because Carmella is currently dealing with an injury and her appearances have been produced so she can work around the problem. The nature of Carmella's injury is currently unknown. 

Carmella working through the injury has reportedly earned the respect of several WWE talents, who pointed out their admiration for the former SmackDown Women's Champion for continuing to perform despite being limited physically.
