Gabe Sapolsky Released By WWE

Another NXT name has been let go

WWE have released Gabe Sapolsky, according to a report from Fightful

Sapolsky seemingly tweeted about his release today, writing: "Looks like the end of the road. Thank you everyone. Love you all!"

Having began his career in Extreme Championship Wrestling, Sapolsky would go on to co-found Ring Of Honor in 2002 and he worked as the booker of the promotion for several years. After leaving ROH, he would launch Dragon Gate USA in 2009 before founding EVOLVE in August of 2014.

Sapolsky initially signed with WWE as a consultant in January 2018 and he would take on a more active role in the company after WWE bought EVOLVE in 2020, primarily working behind the scenes on NXT.

Sapolsky is just the latest NXT staff member to be released by WWE and the likes of William Regal, Timothy Thatcher, Scott Armstrong, Road Dogg, Danny Burch, Dave Kapoor and Hideki Suzuki, among others, were let go on Wednesday.

WWE issued the following statement about the releases: "With the continued evolution of NXT 2.0, we've decided to part ways with some of the staff based in our Performance Center. We thank them for their many contributions throughout the years and wish them the best."
