WWE superstar Danny Burch may have suffered a separated shoulder during the main event of Wednesday's NXT.

Burch, one half of the NXT Tag Team Champions alongside Oney Lorcan, featured in the final match on the black-and-gold brand as the team put their titles on the line against NXT Champion Finn Balor and his NXT TakeOver: Stand & Deliver challenger, Karrion Kross.

During the match, Burch and Lorcan attempted to perform a double-suplex on Kross, who reversed the manoeuvre. It appeared that Burch did not get the full rotation over Kross and seemed to land awkwardly on his neck or shoulder before rolling out of the ring.

As NXT returned from a commercial break, the commentary team confirmed that medical personnel were taking a look at Burch at ringside, with the 39-year-old not returning to the match.

PWInsider reported not long after the close of the show that, while Burch was still being assessed, the NXT Tag Team Champion looks like he may have sustained a separated shoulder.
