Several of WWE's planned matches at SummerSlam have been revealed

WWE's major plans for SummerSlam have been revealed.

The latest edition of the summer pay-per-view is scheduled to air from Ford Field in Detroit, Michigan on Saturday, August 5. No matches have been made official for SummerSlam as of yet but according to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer, six matches and a Logan Paul showcase are planned for the event. The Logan Paul match looks set to be against Ricochet, with a face-to-face between both men scheduled for next week's Monday Night Raw.

The following matches are planned for WWE SummerSlam:

  • Roman Reigns vs. Jey Uso
  • Cody Rhodes vs. Brock Lesnar
  • Trish Stratus vs. Becky Lynch
  • Asuka vs. Charlotte Flair vs. Bianca Belair
  • GUNTHER vs. Drew McIntyre
  • Ronda Rousey vs. Shayna Baszler

Roman Reigns vs. Jey Uso looked to be the direction for the main event of SummerSlam after Jey pinned the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion at Money in the Bank in the Bloodline Civil War. The show was the first time Roman had been pinned since December 2019. Cody Rhodes and Brock Lesnar rekindled their issues upon Lesnar's return on the July 3 edition of Raw, while the other matches had been hinted at over the past several days and weeks.
