In what has been billed as 'The Biggest WrestleMania Match of All-Time' by WWE, Universal Champion Roman Reigns will go one-on-one with WWE Champion Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 38 in a title unification match.

While the titles will be unified, it doesn't appear there will be one world champion for long.

Dave Meltzer reported on Wrestling Observer Radio that he was told it wasn't feasible to have only one world champion in modern WWE and there will be two world champions following WrestleMania 38.

"From what I am told it's the same idea as the last time they unified the titles. Remember 20 years ago, 18 years ago when they did and like a week later they just handed a belt to Triple H? Hopefully they don't do that this year. Hopefully Triple H doesn't win that Raw championship...I was told it's not feasible in the modern environment to not have each brand, given the two networks, have a champion. So this will be a unification match and they will not forget about it but there will be two champions," Meltzer said.

WWE previously unified the WWE Title and WCW World Heavyweight Title in December of 2001, with Chris Jericho becoming the first Undisputed Champion. There would then only be one world champion in WWE until September 2002 when the company introduced the brand split and Raw's Triple H was awarded the Big Gold Belt, renamed the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.

WWE then unified the WWE and World Heavyweight Titles in December 2013 before establishing two world titles again in 2016, when the brand split was reintroduced.
