Report: WWE's Women's Tag Team Division To Receive An Overhaul

WWE's women's tag team division reportedly getting overhauled

In two weeks time, WWE’s women’s tag team division is set to have one of its biggest matches in quite some time as the reigning WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Ronda Rousey & Shayna Baszler will take on the NXT Women’s Tag Team Champions Alba Fyre & Isla Dawn in a title unification match.

It seems that following this, WWE may very well be making an effort with the division per a report from the Boozer Wrasslin’ twitter account, who revealed that the division would be receiving an ‘overhaul’. The account also revealed that it was Nick Khan who was the brains behind pushing a unification match due to his recently revealed goal of elevating NXT.

Rousey and Baszler have only just recently won the Women’s Tag Team Championships, picking up the vacant belts in a fatal four way. Fyre & Dawn have reigned as NXT Women’s Tag Champs for over 70 days after previously defeating Fallon Henley & Kiana James at Stand & Deliver. It was only shortly after this that they received their main roster call-up, keeping the titles around their waists as they moved up to SmackDown.
