Mandy Rose was shockingly released by WWE this week, with reports noting that the company let her go due to what they considered explicit content on her FanTime page. Upon WWE finding out about the content, the organisation reportedly felt they had no choice but to fire her.

WWE may have been preparing for a Mandy Rose exit, though, with Fightful Select reporting that WWE sources tried to leak two weeks ago that God's Greatest Creation had asked for her release. If that is true is currently unknown, however. Rose had two years remaining on her WWE deal, having re-signed with the company on a five-year contract.

Fightful also noted that Rose was in good spirits following her release. Rose said as much on her FanTime page.

Rose's release came only one day after she dropped the NXT Women's Championship to Roxanne Perez on December 13. Shawn Michaels reportedly hastily rewrote NXT upon finding out about Rose's FanTime page, having immediately decided that she needed to drop the title.
