Miro Addresses Absence From AEW TV

Miro has been conspicuously absent from AEW TV in 2022

It’s been a great bugbear of AEW fans in 2022 - just where oh where is Miro?

The former TNT Champion has been conspicuous by his absence from AEW this year, wrestling just four times, with his last outing coming at All Out in September.

Reports had emerged saying that Miro and AEW creative couldn’t agree on plans for the character, and during a recent conversation with MUSE TV, Miro said the following about his AEW absence:

“It's not up to me. I'm doing everything I can and from then on, I'm just sitting and waiting for the opportunity,” said Miro.

Miro’s last full-time run in AEW ended in September 2021, with Miro taking time off to heal from injuries. Despite this, ‘The Redeemer’ came back for a handful of matches in November 2021, then was away from TV until June 2022.

Earlier this year it was revealed that Miro signed a contract extension with AEW, and is believed to be signed through to 2026.
