Report: WWE Superstars Looking For Guaranteed Ways To Get Released From Contracts
Might Luke Harper be one of them? Who knows?!
Aug 5, 2019
It appears certain WWE Superstars are looking for ways to get released from their contracts.
Much has been written so far in 2019 about Superstars who are unhappy with their current situation and are therefore looking to head for pastures new. While the likes of Jon Moxley, Shawn Spears, KENTA, Rhyno and Goldust have all successfully left the company since the turn of the year, the likes of Luke Harper and maybe even Sasha Banks (
who knows what she's thinkin
g) haven't been so lucky.
Dave Meltzer has mentioned on a recent edition of Wrestling Observer Radio that unnamed performers in WWE have privately asked him if they think deliberately failing drug tests, faking injuries, or even committing crimes would be enough to get them out of their deals - Meltzer has told them that wouldn't work.
Luke Harper, of course, reportedly had time added to his current deal due to time he spent on the injured list last year.
Meltzer gave us this latest revelation after a producer from Viceland's Dark Side of the Ring and The Wrestlers asked about Superstars attempting to form unions that would lead to firings. That then led to a discussion about wrestlers trying to get themselves fired.
