The 2022 Royal Rumble pay-per-view wasn't well-received outside of the opening contest between Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins and although the women's elimination match was considered better than the men's, it isn't one fans will go back and watch for years to come.

It has already been noted that WWE talents were frustrated ahead of the Rumble due to the sheer number of changes made to the match prior to the show, with the alterations having reportedly damaged morale.

In an update, WWE talents in the Women's Rumble who spoke to Fightful Select called the match "a mess" and "complete chaos" and that morale was already low. One Superstar also noted that WWE should have had more contracted talent around for the Rumble as opposed to all of the veterans used.

Returning stars of the past like Melina, The Bella Twins, Summer Rae and Michelle McCool were all used in the 30-woman match.

Furthermore, TJ Wilson's absence from producing the Women's Rumble was also felt and one talent even passed on being in the match because they discovered the former Tyson Kidd wasn't helping put it together.

Kidd reportedly hasn't produced any matches for several weeks, although he is still with the company.
