Report: WWE Using Stand-Ins For RETRIBUTION Faction

The faction members will be revealed at a later date...

Last week's episode of Monday Night Raw suffered from numerous technical glitches as the lights kept flickering on and off during the opening match and Superstars' microphones kept cutting out. A new faction was later revealed as the culprits and security footage showed them throwing Molotov cocktails at a generator.

The company announced soon after that the new stable was called RETRIBUTION and the group didn't wait long to make their presence felt on the blue brand as they invaded Friday Night SmackDown, beat down the Performance Center recruits and destroyed the ring.

Some speculated over the weekend about who the attackers were, with names like Vanessa Borne, Chelsea Green, Ricochet and Cedric Alexander being mentioned. Fans needn't have bothered, however, as the men and women underneath the masks on SmackDown won't be the final members of RETRIBUTION as Dave Meltzer reported on Sunday Night's Main Event that WWE is using stand-ins for the time being.

Meltzer said: "I was outright told that the people under the mask are not the people who will be playing the character."
