WWE are continuing to work on plans for the 2023 class of the WWE Hall of Fame and a former diva looks set to be honoured this year.

According to PWInsider, WWE are "very close" to finalising a deal that will see Stacy Keibler be the first female member of the 2023 class of the WWE Hall of Fame. The two parties have been in talks for several weeks and one source told PWInsider the deal was "99% done." Another stated the deal was likely but was not finalised as of Friday, March 10.

Keibler was a popular part of WWE TV during the Ruthless Aggression era, joining the company as part of the invasion after WWE bought World Championship Wrestling. After the invasion came to an end, Keibler was a popular addition to the Dudley Boyz alongside Bubba Ray, D-Von, and Spike until she was kicked out of the group, at which point she became Vince McMahon's personal assistant.

Keibler later found herself aligned with Test and she became the central focus of the former Intercontinental Champion's feud with Scott Steiner. The Big Bad Booty Daddy and Test fought over Keibler's services until Steiner turned heel. He and Test then proceeded to abuse Keibler for much of late 2003.

After this, Keibler had various roles on WWE TV, including as Super Stacy, before she left in 2006 to pursue other opportunities, which came after a stint on Dancing with the Stars. She has largely remained away from pro wrestling but did return to WWE in 2019 to induct Torrie Wilson into the WWE Hall of Fame.

The 2023 WWE Hall of Fame ceremony will take place on Friday, March 31 following that night's go-home episode of SmackDown before WrestleMania 39.
