Report: WWE Wants A Latino Champion

Fans may see a Latino champion sometime soon in WWE

It looks as though WWE is wanting to change things up when it comes to their current title scenes, as a recent report has indicated that WWE is wanting a Latino champion. A report from the Boozer Rasslin’ Twitter account (BWE) has revealed that WWE “wants” a Latino champion.

This could very well explain the recent developments on Friday Night SmackDown in which Latino World Order members Rey Mysterio and Santos Escobar won their respective fatal four way matches to earn the right to battle each other for a shot at Austin Theory’s WWE United States Championship. Whilst many fans were expecting an LA Knight victory and pursuit for the US Title, it makes sense with this report that it was two Latinos who scored wins.

Whether it be Santos Escober or Rey Mysterio who goes on to do battle with Theory, it would be safe to assume that a title change is in the offing. The report also noted that the Latino champion was expected to be a “babyface”, further hinting at it being one of these two men.
