Report: WWE Women's Tag Team The Ilconics Set To Be Repackaged

That's not Ilconic...

After The Ilconics captured the Women's Tag Team Championships at WrestleMania 35, many fans expected them to be featured prominently on WWE TV. However, Peyton Royce and Billie Kay only appeared on Monday Night Raw and SmackDown on a handful of occasions and dropped the titles to Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross on the August 5 episode of Raw.

Since losing the titles, the Australian tag team have only appeared on TV four times, with one of those appearances being on an episode of Main Event. They have not been on Raw at all since November 18 when they were defeated by Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair.

Now, Dave Meltzer at Wrestling Observer Online has explained this is because WWE has decided to keep the pair off TV as the company is preparing to repackage the tag team. However, he doesn't expect them to be gone for too long.

Meltzer replied to a fan on Twitter, writing: "I asked about them a few weeks ago. A decision was made to take them off TV. Maybe repackaging, but the idea was they'd be back."
