Report: WWE WrestleMania 39 Plans Still Up In The Air

WWE WrestleMania 39 is set for April 2023

We are inching ever closer to the Road to WrestleMania, with the ‘Showcase of the Immortals’ WrestleMania 39 set for April 1 and April 2, 2023.

Reports this week suggested that Triple H has several matches in mind for the show, with the show being all but finalised subject to injury, but a report from Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter suggests that plans are still up in the air.

Meltzer claims there are multiple ideas for Mania cards in discussion, with every major act in WWE having ‘multiple different things under discussion’ as of writing.

Reports this week suggested that GUNTHER vs. Brock Lesnar is scheduled for the show, but Meltzer doesn’t think the rumoured Roman Reigns double header of Cody Rhodes on night one and The Rock on night two is likely to happen. Meltzer was sure to note that of course ‘anything can happen’, and plans aren’t likely to be finalised for another five weeks or so, meaning negotiations between WWE and The Rock - as well as WWE and other potential celebrities slated to appear - could continue.
