Report: WWE WrestleMania Updates On Asuka, Bayley & Alexa Bliss

Will they make the shows?

While the likes of Roman Reigns, Brock Lesnar, Drew McIntyre, The Miz, Ronda Rousey and Becky Lynch will be in action at WrestleMania 38, several women's stars look set to miss the event.

Mike Johnson of PWInsider has reported that Alexa Bliss likely won't be booked for The Showcase Of The Immortals, noting "we are told that what is next for her will likely not happen until after WrestleMania." Bliss had previously been out of action since September of 2021 but she returned at Elimination Chamber in late February after weeks of therapy vignettes.

Former SmackDown Women's Champion Bayley will miss WrestleMania, according to Johnson, and the current plan is for her to make her return after April 3. The Role Model has been out of action since she tore her ACL in July of 2021.

Asuka's status for WrestleMania 38 is unclear, however. The Empress Of Tomorrow hasn't performed since Money In The Bank 2021 following shoulder surgery but PWInsider reported she is ready to return and is just waiting for a storyline. Dave Meltzer also reported that Asuka was cleared for an in-ring return in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter

Fightful Select noted Asuka was still listed on WWE's inactive list in February, however, and that an optimistic date for Asuka's return was "around Spring."
