Report: Xia Li Doing Okay After Injury Scare During NXT Women's Title Match

Li took a nasty bump to the ribs

The main event of this week's WWE NXT show saw Raquel Gonzalez put the NXT Women's Championship on the line against Xia Li.

An excellent bout - one worthy of main-eventing the taping and certainly one worth watching back - Li and Gonzalez put on a strong showing, but a scary moment towards the end of the match caused concern.

Gonzalez performed a corner slingshot senton splash on Li, landing on top of her opponent. However, Li seemed to fail to get her hands up in time, with Gonzalez landing directly on her ribs.

The challenger was tended to by the referee and doctors on the mat, in the corner of the ring, before eventually standing up and taking Gonzalez's finishing move, which ended the bout and saw 'Big Mami Cool' retain her Championship.

Despite Li looking in a great deal of discomfort following the collision, Fightful Select is reporting that Li appeared to be okay when she got backstage at the NXT taping
