REVEALED: Major Name Not Planned To Be AEW's Full Gear Signing

This major name isn't planned to be AEW's Full Gear signing

All Elite Wrestling have a major surprise planned for Saturday night's Full Gear pay-per-view and the promotion are set to reveal their newest signing, who Tony Khan has billed as "one of the world's best wrestlers."

The announcement from Tony Khan instantly sent social media into overdrive and names mentioned include Mercedes Moné, Dolph Ziggler, Will Ospreay, and even CM Punk.

One of those names can be ruled out, though, as Fightful Select has reported the plan isn't to announce Mercedes Moné as the newest AEW signing at Full Gear "if people in the company are to be believed." Several within the organisation have stated the Full Gear announcement won't be for the former Sasha Banks.

There are still plans in place for Moné and AEW to work together but there is no word on when exactly the former IWGP Women's Champion will make her full debut for the promotion. Rumours of Moné coming into AEW have swirled since she was shown in the crowd at the All In pay-per-view earlier this year.

Moné has been out of action with an ankle injury since May, though, and she recently indicated on Cameo that she will be unable to wrestle until 2024.
