All Elite Wrestling had a slightly different taping schedule this week as the promotion taped the December 9 edition of AEW Collision from the Bell Centre in Montreal, Quebec, Canada on Tuesday night. An NHL game is already scheduled to take place at the home of the Montreal Canadians on December 9.

AEW Dynamite and Rampage are set to be taped from the same venue on Wednesday, December 6 and tickets have sold better for that set of tapings, but the promotion struggled to move tickets for Collision. WrestleTix reported that only 2,852 tickets were distributed for Collision and the number of fans who actually paid for tickets might be much lower. The Bell Centre has a capacity of 21,000.

Former WWE commentator Pat Laprade revealed to WrestleTix that AEW struggled to move tickets for Collision in Montreal due to there being "no buzz around the two shows at all" and AEW doing a poor job of publicising in the market that the taping was actually taking place. Ticket prices were also a concern, WrestleTix noted, especially since WWE are holding a cheaper show in the same market in less than a month.

Collision is also not broadcast on TV in Canada and currently only airs on TSN's streaming service.

Poor ticket sales in North America have been an issue for the past several months and is one of the reasons for there being "a lot of negativity" within All Elite Wrestling at the moment. The promotion are unable to run smaller venues for some time, however.
