REVEALED: Why Triple H Missed WWE Raw

What has Triple H been up to?

Triple H is usually at the Gorilla position for tapings of Monday Night Raw but the WWE Chief Content Officer was nowhere to be seen for the November 27 episode that featured the Raw returns of CM Punk and Randy Orton. Triple H was away on "other WWE business" and Bruce Prichard ran the taping.

That "other WWE business" has now been revealed with PWInsider Elite reporting that Triple H and WWE President Nick Khan have been in Los Angeles for the past few days working on the United States media rights deal for Monday Night Raw.

It was noted there are several suitors in the race for the Raw TV deal. Companies mentioned to be in the running in recent months include Disney and Amazon.

WWE Raw currently airs on USA Network in the United States but the media rights deal is set to expire in October 2024. Deals have already been agreed for SmackDown and NXT with the blue brand set to move to USA while NXT will air on The CW.

Triple H and Nick Khan have very much established themselves as the two men heading up WWE in recent months, especially since Vince McMahon was forced to step back from WWE Creative. McMahon has become so uninvolved with creative that he had nothing to do with CM Punk's return and the decision came down to Triple H and Nick Khan.
