According to witness accounts, Fenix, while working alongside brother Pentagon Jr in a match against Myron Reed and AR Fox, was injured after executing a springboard cutter. The match was then abruptly finished, so that Fenix could receive medical attention.
Though the nature of injury has not been officially confirmed, those present have indicated that it was apparently some form of head/neck injury. Sources also noted that Fenix was thankfully moving his arms and legs, and was verbally responsive prior to being stretchered out of the venue.
Fenix has been the subject of much news in recent days, from he and Pentagon's attack on The Young Bucks at the AEW Double or Nothing rally, to their Impact Wrestling Tag Team title win over LAX, which aired Friday evening. It was also revealed Friday that the two would face Rob Van Dam and Sabu at Impact's United We Stand event in Rahway, NJ during WrestleMania weekend.
Any further details and updates will be reported when they are revealed. We here at Cultaholic wish Rey Fenix a speedy and full recovery.
